A Casual Country Retreat

Grove’s Cottage is located in scenic Georges Valley about 2 miles from the village of Spring Mills, Pa. It is located 18 miles east of State College, Pa and the Penn State University football stadium. The cottage is easily accessible from Pa Routes 45 & 322. It is the perfect lodging place to stay for Penn State football weekends, central Pennsylvania art festivals, Woodward Camp visitors near Millheim, Pa, central Pennsylvania fly fishing, hiking, biking or any other outdoor activities. The cottage is on the northern edge of the Seven Mountains area and has many nearby biking and hiking trails.

The spacious cottage will easily sleep six and has window air conditioners in the living room and the kitchen. It comes complete with a large eat-in kitchen & full bath with shower/tub combination. Both of the cozy bedrooms offer a double feather bed and either a ceiling or window fan. The living room features a sleeper sofa, recliners & satellite television.

Whitetail deer and wild turkey are often seen in the surrounding pasture and woods. The area is home to many outdoor activities such as fly fishing, hiking, biking, canoeing, hunting and snowmobiling. The cottage is conveniently located close to many central Pennsylvania limestone fishing streams such as Penns Creek (1 mile), Sinking Creek, Elk Creek, Pine Creek and Spring Creek. Poe Valley State Park and Poe Paddy camping is also nearby. Penns Creek near Coburn, Pa is a favorite spot for many. Current stream conditions can be found at Pennsylvania Flyfishing. Pets Traveling with You?

The owners of Grove’s Cottage also operate Penns Valley Kennels and provide boarding services for dogs and cats, which makes it very convenient when your furry family members are traveling with you. Reservations and inoculations are required. No pets are permitted in the cottage.
